A jászsági hímzésről:

A jászsági szűcsök subákra, ködmönökre varrt csodás hímzéseire a 20. század második felére a feledés homálya borult.  A népi kultúra akkori hivatalos őrei nem ismertek semmilyen jász hímzést, azt mondták a jászsági asszonyoknak, akik zsűrizésre adták be alkotásaikat, hogy jász hímzés nem létezik. A jászságiak azonban ilyen könnyen nem engedték elkendőzni őseik hagyatékát, alapos, és kitartó néprajzi gyűjtéssel nagyanyáik és nagyapáik ködmöneit összegyűjtve kiállítást rendeztek a Jász Múzeumban, aminek köszönhetően az egész ország újra megismerhette a legendás múltra visszatekintő mintákat. Immáron nem kétséges, hogy Móra Ferenc híres kincskereső kisködmöne is jászsági mintával volt kivarrva, hiszen édesapja Berényben született, és mesterségét is ott tanulta.
